A MAJOR shout-out to the reader who suggested a V and Soleil art piece inspired by the “Hellfire” song from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The life they have given me on this day! There is no end to how much I despise Frollo as a character, but as far as *villains* go, that song cooks. And does anything fit Vhogare better than grieving in literal flames? If you’ve read my grimdark tragic villain origin story The Gifted King, you know this is NOT a direct scene from the book. Though maybe it should have been... But regardless, this is more of an inspired fan art situation drawn from the perspective of V’s wishful thinking. As much as V wishes he could reach out his hands and touch Soleil, we all know she deserves FAR better than him. 🔥 2025 🔥 You guys made this year so incredible. Thank you so much to my beautiful family for building me up and supporting me as I released MY VERY FIRST BOOK this year, and thank you to each of you for embracing me and my work as I begin this journey. 🥹 My heart is truly so full and I am grateful for every glorious, confusing, amazing, challenging, life-changing moment. Outside of the nice, curated, happy social media bubble, let’s also be so for real. This year has been and continues to be h£ll. Any words I use to describe reality will get this post suppressed, so let me just say that in 2026, I hope we hold fast to the lessons we learned from every dystopia we’ve ever read, and that we protect each other from the real enemy and embrace humanity and art in its fullest, fiercest form. Like Jon Snow, bend no knee. Do not go gently or quietly. Pull a Ranni from Elden Ring and give a giant middle finger to the “greater will.” To all my district 12 folks, fight like all-fire.
